Scorecard:Sri Lanka v India
Player:SR Tendulkar, SK Raina
Event:India in Sri Lanka 2010

DateLine: 29th July 2010

India inspired by Sachin Tendulkar's double ton and Raina's debut ton overhauled the Lankan first innings total. The Indian batsmen were never in a hurry as they took their sweet time to get past the Lankan total as the pitch never gave any assistance to the bowlers. The highlight of the Indian innings was the maiden ton scored by Raina on his debut. The left-hander looked fluent in his knock and barring the trouble caused by some short-pitched bowling he carried on well.

The southpaw never showed any nervousness in his innings as he along with Tendulkar added 256 for the fifth wicket. The left-hander after lunch began to look shaky and he was caught at midwicket of Mendis. Dhoni came in and got off aggressively but then after reaching his fifty he shut the shop down. Tendulkar meanwhile reached his fifth double ton of his Test career. The right-hander was then adjudged caught at silly point of Dilshan and Harbhajan Singh followed soon for a duck. Mithun batted admirably as he along with Dhoni helped India breeze past the Lankan first innings total before the Indian skipper was caught and bowled by Dilshan.

Mithun batted on solidly for his 41 before he was castled by Mendis. India at the close of day posted 669 for 9.
