Mr.Mynn in his 2nd innings went in when three wickets had fallen and 91 runs were got. He was so much injured by Redgate's bowling that he was near losing his leg, and was unable to play at cricket again till 1838. In this match he was unable to run for himself, an initial injury to his leg having occurred during pre-match practice, and he should not have played. Rain stopped play at 4.00pm on the first day when 5,000 spectators were present. The match was captained from the marquee, Mr.B.Aislabie directing for The North and Lord F.Beauclerk for South of England
