The start of the match was delayed by two hours because two teams from Jammu and Kashmir arrived at the ground to play both claiming to have court orders asserting that they respresented the state. One team from Jammu had played all the three matches in the tournament so far but another one from Kashmir arrived as well. The match referee consulted with BCCI Secretary JY Lele who ruled in favour of the team from Kashmir.
