Norfolk won this return match by nine wickets at 1.35 pm on the second day. The match between the two sides at Woodbridge in June was drawn. For the winners, Gibson took 7 wickets for 36 runs in the Suffolk first innings. There were 15 fours in G A Stevens's 83. For Suffolk C W Alexander top-scored with innings of 44 not out with 5 fours and 43 with 6 fours. There were two brief interruptions for rain on the second day. Quaife missed his train and batted down the order in the Suffolk first innings.
