Bedfordshire won this closely fought match by nine runs at 6.20 pm on the second day with 10 minutes to spare. Hertfordshire had been set a victory target of 91 runs in 90 minutes. For the winners, Morcom took 10 wickets in the match for 72 runs, including
6 wickets for 37 runs in the Hertfordshire second innings. Orr made the top score with 40 containing 1 six and 5 fours. For the losers, Burton took 11 wickets in the match for 80 runs, with 5 wickets for 52 runs in the Bedfordshire first innings and 6 for 28 in the second.
