Suffolk won this return match by 58 runs on the second day, after Bedfordshire required 179 runs to win in their second innings fell 59 runs short. The match between the two sides at Luton earlier in the month had been won by Bedfordshire. For the winners, Trudgett took 10 wickets in the match for 132 runs, including 6 wickets for 58 runs in the Bedfordshire second innings. H L Wilson scored
61. For the losers, Bocquet top scored with 50. Morcom took 5 wickets for 56 runs in the Suffolk first innings and Wharmby 5 wickets for 49 runs in the second. On the first day overnight rain delayed the start until 12.30 pm, and bad light ended play early. In the Suffolk first innings three wickets fell with the score at 106.
