Kim Norkett was a talented schoolboy sportsman at Monmouth School, and in 1974 the right arm seamer played in Glamorgan`s Sunday League match against Hampshire at Basingstoke.

 

Although he played in 2nd XI matches for the next couple of years, Norkett was never called up again for first team action. He played rugby for Newport and Ebbw Vale, and went into teaching.
