Burnley have signed 24 year-old West Indian Kerry Jeremy as professional for 2004. Jeremy has played in 6 One Day Internationals all in the 2000-2001 season, taking 4 wickets with a best of 2-42.
 
In the Carib Cup, the right arm fast medium paceman plays for the Leeward Islands. To date he has a top First-class score of 70 not out and he has taken 137 wickets with a best return of 6-33. In this seasons competition, he has 11 wickets at 42.4, his most recent First-class match being the innings defeat by Barbados which saw former Accrington professional Sherwin Campbell hit an unbeaten 211. 
Jeremy is Burnley's eighth West Indian professional and he comes highly recommended by ex West Indian captain Jimmy Adams. Former West Indian professionals at Burnley include Sam Skeete in 1992, Charlie Griffth, who took a league record 144 wickets in 1964, Lance Gibbs, Collie Smith and Manny Martindale. Jeremy is the second West Indian to be signed up by a Lancashire League club for the coming season with Nelson having engaged Cameron Cuffy.
