Rishton have signed the experienced South African fast medium pace bowler Deon Kruis. The 29 year-old - full name Gideon Jacobus Kruis, opens the bowling and bats at number 11 for his state Griqualand West. In 66 First-class matches, he has scored 1125 runs at 13.9 and taken 222 wickets at 28.8 with a best of 7-58.

 

No stranger to English conditions, Kruis played for Blackpool in the Northern Premier League last season, taking 58 wickets at 16.4 and he also sub-pro'd for Haslingden, taking an impressive 6-38.
