Second Kiwi for Lowerhouse

Lowerhouse have signed New Zealander Peter Fulton as their new professional. The 25 year-old Fulton is a right handed batsman who also bowls right arm medium pace.

 

To date he has scored 1550 runs in First-class cricket at an average of 45.6 and with a highest score a monumental unbeaten 301 against Auckland in 2003. Fulton has also taken 11 wickets at 33.9. Back home in New Zealand he plays for Canterbury and he is currently captaining the side in the absence of Chris Harris. He has also played for two seasons for Lytham in the Liverpool and District Competition in 2001 and 2002.

 

Lowerhouse chairman David Wren said: "The club was very pleased to sign Peter. I have been impressed with the reputation he has obtained for himself in New Zealand as a quality batsman who is close to international honours."

 

Fulton will be the only the club's second New Zealand professional after Evan Gray who was paid man in 1982.
