Irfan Pathan once said that not many have seen his brother, who hits sixes even longer than he does. How true was he, since from the moment Yusuf Pathan made his foray in international cricket, he has been hitting huge sixes no matter how good the bowler at the bowling end is. He was first seen in the finals of the T20 World Cup in South Africa where he sent baack a Mohammad Asif full pitcher into the stands in the very first over. His stay was short on the pitch as a batsman but then he came on to bowl and did well with leather in his hands. But the defining moment for the Baroda dynamite came in the IPL first edition where he was instrumental in Rajasthan Royals success in the tournament. He scored 435 runs with four fifties at a strike-rate of 179 in the tournament and was also pretty good with the ball and as a fielder. In the second season too, Yusuf has looked very good and in all the three matches that his side has won, the burly Pathan has been declared the man-of-the-match. He would surely be a headache for management of all teams once the T20 World Cup starts in June because of his power hitting and all-round ability.
