Player: | T Henderson |
DateLine: 7th May 2009
Henderson had set up a reputation of being a big hitter and won many a game for Border and the Warriors in the one-day version of the game, and that form won him a contract with Kent. His mixture of slower balls and control of length made him a surprising force in Twenty20 - so much so that he became the format's leading wicket-taker. His nous with the ball contrasted wildly with his savagery with the bat for Middlesex, which included a ferocious 59 in the 2008 semi-final and 43 from 33 balls in the final. Middlesex secured his services until September 2009 with a fresh contract. He was bought by Rajasthan Royals at the auction in February 2009 for $650,000.
