Shane Watson remains the cleanest of hitters and, several remodelled actions later, decidedly sharp with the ball. He is a regular in The ODI and T20 squads for Australia but his Test aspirations remain stunted as he has not being able to cement his place in the Test squad. The bargain of the Indian Premier League, Watson, who sold for US$125,000, was the Player of the Tournament for his 472 runs and 17 wickets, and that performance proved that he is a world class performer and was awarded Player of the Tournament for his all round exploits. Watson received praise for his performances in Indian tour of 2008, after he scored 170 runs and took 10 wickets in his first full series with the Test side.
