New Zealand polished off their league engagements in style, beating South Africa by six wickets in their last league match.

 

After being sent in to bat, South Africa could manage only 124/4 in their 20 overs, despite a 91-run stand between Crizelda Brits (57 not out, 51 balls, five fours) and Susan Benade (44, 46 balls, five fours).

 

In reply, New Zealand got decent contributions from four of the top five batswomen to make easy work of the target, reaching 127/4 off 18.1 overs. Aimee Watkins scored 35 while Suzie Bates and Nicola Browne chipped in with 24 runs each.

 

Shabnin Ismail claimed two wickets for South Africa.

 

New Zealand have six points from their three games while South Africa are languishing at the bottom of the table, without any points.
