A valiant effort by Australia was not good enough as the English ladies posted their fourth straight ODI win in the five-match series.

 

Batting first, Australia reached 225/7, their best effort in the series so far, thanks to contributions from Shelley Nitschke, Karen Rolton, Lisa Sthalekar and skipper Jodie Fields.

 

In reply, a fine 65 from Claire Edwards and a half-century by Lydia Greenway helped England reach 226/6 off the last ball of the innings.
