Former New Zealand skipper Martin Crowe has asked all-rounder Jacob Oram to consider his cricketing future.
The former skipper voiced his opinion after the all-rounder was forced to withdraw from another tour early.
Oram has been injury plagued in recent years, the latest setback being a hamstring strain that has forced him out of the Champions Trophy.
Earlier in the year following back, calf and Achilles injuries that saw him miss the series against Australia and the drawn Test series with the West Indies, he admitted he had thought about cutting out bowling and possibly Test cricket altogether.
"Jacob Oram is going to go home and reflect on how he is going to exit out of this game," Crowe said
"He might stay and play Twenty20 because he might be able to survive it but to be honest I don't think when the body is letting you down that much you can carry on," he told Radio Sport.
"When you get a chronic injury there reaches a point where the rest of the body just can't cope and you have got to call it quits."
