Pakistan Cricket Board chairman Ijaz Butt has rejected Younis Khan's resignation and expects the veteran batsman to remain captain until the 2011 World Cup.

Khan offered his resignation last week amid match-fixing allegations that have been widely rejected as untrue. Butt said that he had not accepted the resignation and that if Khan remains fit, he would lead the Pakistan team at the next World Cup.
The resignation by Younus was apparently in protest against match fixing allegations by chairman of the National Assembly Standing Committee on Sports, Jamshed Dasti after Pakistan lost to Australia and New Zealand in Champions Trophy. The crisis has been deepened with reports of differences between Younus and some other members of the team.
