The disappointing tour of India forced the Sri Lankan selectors to ring in some major changes to the Lankan ODI side for the Bangladesh Tri-series next month.

 

The major non-performers of the tour Sanath Jayasuriya, Ajantha Mendis, Lasith Malinga and Chamara Kapugedera had to face the heat as they were shown the door. Mahela Jayawardene, Angelo Mathews Muttiah Muralitharan and Dilhara Fernando, on the other hand, were not available for selection having suffered injuries during the tour.

 

The selectors have included Chamara Silva, Malinga Bandara, Thilan Thushara and young prospect Lahiru Thirimanne in the 15-man squad.
