England's next superstar in making Eoin Morgan soaked up all the pressure as he smashed a blistering century to help England secure a thrilling two-wicket victory over Bangladesh in the second one-dayer. Morgan hit a 104-ball 110 not out as England got past Bangladesh's 260-6 with seven balls to spare.

 
England won the toss and elected to field first. Unlike in the previous encounter the Bangladeshi batsmen showed greater application as they helped the hosts to score a challenging 260 for the loss of six wickets in their 50 overs. Imrul Kayes and Mushfiqur Rahim scored half-centuries but neither of them were able to carry on to score a big hundred.
 
England in reply rode on Cook's half-century in the first part of the innings while in the second half Morgan took control of the chase. Left-arm spinners Shakib Al Hasan and Abdur Razzak raised hopes of a Bangladeshi win over England before left-handed Morgan steered his team home in a close finish.
