West Indies crushed hapless Zimbabwe by 141 runs to take lead in the five match ODI series.

Utseya putting faith in his spinners to restrict the Windies elected to field first. The spinners once again proved difficult to get away as the hosts struggled to get any sort of momentum into the innings. Gayle(33, 53b, 1x6, 3x4) with a huge six of Price but that was it. Had it not being for Chanderpaul's 58 of 76 balls the hosts' innings would have simply fallen apart. At the conclusion of the fifty overs West Indies patched up a modest 245 for the loss of nine wickets.

The Zimbabwean innings in reply failed to pose any sort of threat to the West Indian total. Roach struck in the first over as he removed Sibanda (0, 3b) with an unplayable yorker. The innings simply went haywire as the wickets tumbled at regular intervals. Barring Masakadza (35, 35b, 3x4) none of the batsmen were allowed to settle as the West Indian seamers led by Darren Sammy simply ran riot.
