The hosts did not disappoint their fans as they walloped a strong South African side. The West Indian side powered by Dottin's brilliant century to which the South African side had no answer. Coming in at number six the right-hander was in a belicose mood as Dottin went after the bowling with such savagery that the South African bowlers would probably need a counseling session from a psychotherapist to get on to the field for the next match. The hosts went on to score 175 in 20 overs for the lose of 5 wickets. The South African side in return scored 158 in their quota of 20 overs.

South African skipper Brits won the toss and elected to field first believing that the West Indian bats-women were fragile in nature. For most part of the innings she was proved right as the West Indian side were enroute to self destruction. Wickets fell at regular intervals as the West Indian side were in danger of being bowled out for less than substantial.

At 52 for 4 in 9.2 overs things were looking extremely bleak for the hosts when Dottin entered the scene. The right-hander was in an aggressive mood from ball number one as she went on a rampage that is very rarely associated with women cricket. The ball flew in almost in every direction as the South African bowlers looked upto their skipper in hope that Brits would provide come up with any sort of solution but what they received were blank stares. The right-hander scored an unbeaten 112 in 45 balls with seven hits to the fence and nine unbelievable sixes. The West Indian side scored 175 in 20 overs for the loss of 5 wickets.

The South African side in return after the battering from the hands of Dottin looked to repeat that performance but could not quite manage it. Fritz (58, 52b, 1x6, 3x4) and Brits (43, 29b, 2x6, 2x4) got some reasonable score for themselves but that was not enough to overhaul the West Indian score.
