The Indian side had finally something to smile for as they finished the tour on a high note as they claimed the T20 series with a comprehensive performance.

Suresh Raina won the toss and elected to bowl first on a pitch that was predicted to give early assistance to the pacers. The pacers, Vinay Kumar and Ashok Dinda were right on the money as they put a straitjacket on the Zimbabwean batsmen. Run-making became a torture and finding the gaps was as difficult as finding pins in a haystick. The fielding too was at the best as the Indians looked geared up for the battle. Masakadza after being tied down tried to break free but found the fielder while Chibhabha's slog met with thin air as the ball disturbed his furniture. The hopes of a sizable target rested on the shoulders of Brendon Taylor. Taylor managed a couple of boundaries before he was taken superbly at the long-off boundary by Yusuf Pathan.

Taibu swept, reverse-swept and ran hard to keep the scorecard moving. Coventry came out and blasted the Indian bowlers with R Ashwin being the main causality. He reverse-swept R Ashwin for two boundaries and slammed a huge six over covers. Vinay offered him length in the next over, and Coventry got another six. In the 18th over, Dinda removed Coventry with a perfect yorker. Elton Chigumbura played a mini cameo before Suresh Raina took a blinder to remove the Zimbabwean skipper. Zimbabwe at the end of the their 20 overs got 140 for the loss of five wickets.

India in reply got off to a flier of sorts as Murali Vijay for the first time on tour played freely. Along with Murali Vijay (46), Raina shared a 79-run stand for the second wicket, which set up the second comfortable Indian win in as many days.

Raina's 44-ball knock had six fours and two sixes in it. After an ordinary show in the three-week tour, Vijay finally got some runs under his belt and the Chennai batsman would be relived after playing a good hand in the Indian win.

Vijay and skipper Suresh Raina batted with ease and were hardly troubled by the host bowlers. Vijay missed out on his half-century when he attempted a big shot but off Chibhabha and his checked shot landed in the hands of Graeme Cremer in the 15th over. Raina continued the good work and carried the team home just after losing another partner in Yusuf Pathan (4).
