Australian fast bowlers Doug Bollinger and Ryan Harris, and England's off-spinner Graeme Swann have rocketed into the top 20 of the Reliance Mobile ICC Player Rankings for ODI bowlers with all three achieving career-best rankings to date.

 

England won the five-ODI series 3-2 which concluded at Lord's on Saturday. This meant Andrew Strauss's side also gained one place in the Reliance Mobile ICC ODI Championship while Australia retained its position at the top of the table.

 

For his nine wickets in the series, Bollinger has been rewarded with a jump of 10 places which puts him along side Kyle Mills of New Zealand in fifth position, while Harris has vaulted 21 places to claim 15th spot following his series haul of 10 wickets.

 

Swann, who grabbed eight wickets in the series, has leaped 15 places to sit in 17th position. He is the third England bowler inside the top 20 behind Stuart Broad (eighth) and James Anderson (13th).

 

Given Bollinger, Harris and Swann are still in the qualification period for bowlers, it is likely that they will move even further up the ladder depending on how they perform in the forthcoming ODIs. While Swann is likely to be involved in five ODIs later this British summer (against Pakistan), Australia's next ODI commitments are not until November when it goes head to head with Sri Lanka in a three-ODI series.

 

Daniel Vettori of New Zealand leads the bowling table from Bangladesh's Shakib Al Hasan while Nuwan Kulasekara of Sri Lanka is third.

 

In the Reliance Mobile ICC Player Rankings for ODI batsmen, Australia's vice-captain Michael Clarke has stormed up the chart following his 220 runs in four ODIs. The 29-year-old from New South Wales has climbed 10 places and now sits in 15th position, just ahead of Shane Watson who has improved his ranking by two places after a series aggregate of 205 runs.

 

England's Paul Collingwood and Andrew Strauss are also on the charge. Collingwood has improved his ranking by two places after his series contribution of 209 runs while Strauss has moved up seven places to 39th spot after scoring 191 runs in the series.

 

However, Kevin Pietersen has slipped five places to 33rd spot after managing just 95 runs.

 

The batting list is headed by Mahendra Singh Dhoni of India while South Africa's AB de Villiers is in second spot, just two ratings points behind.

 

In the Reliance Mobile ICC ODI Championship table, England's 3-2 series win has earned it four ratings points which has put it ahead of New Zealand in fourth position on 115 ratings points. It can further narrow the gap with third-placed India if it performs well in the series against Bangladesh and Pakistan.

 

Australia, thanks to its big lead over second-placed South Africa, has retained its top position but has conceded three ratings points for the series loss. This means its lead over Graeme Smith's side has been reduced to just 11 ratings points.
