Todmorden Committee Press Officer Ian Roberts said: "Everyone at Todmorden is delighted with the signing of Qaiser Abbas for the 2011 season. Qaiser is a well respected professional back in Pakistan and he has excellent experience in UK conditions. Qaiser has spent five seasons since 2004 playing in the North Staffordshire and South Cheshire Cricket League and he has been a quality performer. Over the five seasons he has played for Stone, Kynpersley and Hem Heath and in total he has scored over 5,000 runs and taken over 200 wickets. Qaiser is also an ECB Level 2 qualified coach and he will be getting involved with the coaching side of the club with the seniors and the juniors. We would like to thank Danny Archer of Pro Sports for making this deal happen and we look forward to seeing Qaiser in 2011."

He will be the club's fourth Pakistani professional following Safdar 'Jim' Minhas, Aftab Baloch and Moshin Khan.
