Shane Watson's knock was a sensational as he hammered 185 runs and enabled Australia clinch the series against Bangladesh. Shane Watson smashed a record 15 sixes in a career best 185 not out and gave a super display of power hitting while cracking 15 four's in his 96 ball knock to help Australia achieve their target with 24 over's to spare.
 
This amazing knock breaks West Windies Xavier Marshall record of 12 sixes against Canada in 2008. Watson also scored 150 in boundaries in an ODI innings, breaking South African Herschelle Gibbs record of 126. 
His innings was also the highest by an Australian in ODI'S, the previous best being 181 not out by Mathew Hayden. He also completed his sixth one-day hundred off just 69 balls the third fastest by an Australian after Hayden's in 66 balls and Gilchrist's in 67 balls. 
Shane Watson looked in excellent touch right from the beginning hammering three fours in the opening over by Shafiul Islam. He thrashed the Bangladesh bowlers to all parts of the ground and went on with the onslaught whenever needed. The speciality of his innings was that he raced to his half century in a mere 26 balls, hitting four sixes in an over from left arm spinner Suhrawadi Shuvo.(Article: The opinions expressed in this article are those of the author only.
