Nelson have signed former Church professional Luke Woodcock as their paid man for this season.

The 29 year-old New Zealander replaces Burton de Wett who failed to get a visa on the eve of the season.
Woodcock had two seasons at Church in 2009 and 2010. Problems with the new visa problems caused him to miss the first two months of the 2009 season. After a tough baptism with two losing semi finals in his first three matches, Woodcock settled in and finished the season with 305 runs at 33.9 with three half centuries and 33 wickets at 14.1 from 14 matches.
Woodcock returned in 2010, but missed eight games in mid season, returning for the final four as Church finished in fifth place and also reached the final of the 20/20 Cup. The New Zealander hit 716 league runs at 55.1 with seven half centuries, the best of which was 96 against Nelson. He picked up 39 wickets at 20.5 with a best a match winning 6-31 against Accrington in his return game when he also hit 66.
The left hander is due to arrive on Wednesday and will make his debut for Nelson at Haslingden on Saturday.LATEST SCORES
