Mike Reed is another promising young seam bowler on Glamorgan’s books. He hails from Leicestershire, but came to Glamorgan’s attention whilst a student at Cardiff University. The tall bowler developed some impressive spells against county professionals whilst playing for the Cardiff MCCU team, and after graduating he joined the Welsh county’s full-time staff, before making his first-class debut in 2012.

 

During 2013 Mike produced several hostile spells in Championship matches and drew the attention of the England talent squads who included him in their winter programme for emerging talent during 2013/14.
