2015 profile
David Lloyd is a forceful top-order batsman and medium-pace bowler who joined the Glamorgan playing staff in 2012. The 20 year-old was born in St.Asaph and educated at Darland School and subsequently Shrewsbury School. A decent series of innings by the schoolboy, as well as some promising performances for Brymbo in the North Wales Premier League, saw David appear for a series of Welsh age-group teams before making his debut in Glamorgan’s 2nd XI as a sixteen year-old in 2008.

David has subsequently appeared for the Glamorgan Academy side as well as for the Wales Minor Counties team for whom he made an unbeaten 116 against Herefordshire in 2010. In September 2012 David made his first-class debut for Glamorgan, playing against Yorkshire at Headingley Carnegie and Kent at the SWALEC Stadium.

He had an extended run in the Glamorgan side in the second half of 2014 after posting a double-hundred in the Second Eleven Championship match against Warwickshire 2nd XI at Coventry, as well as brisk hundred in a Second Eleven T20 game against Gloucestershire at the SWALEC Stadium. During his time in the 1st XI during 2014 David was also able to showcase his bowling skills, claiming 4/10 against Durham in the Royal London One-Day Cup match at Cardiff.
