Mumbai, June 17 : Zimbabwe Cricket (ZC) board has announced the 18-man squad for the T-20 series against India. The three matches are scheduled to be played on 18, 20 and 22 June 2016 at the Harare Sports Club.

Explaining exclusively the reason for announcing such a long list of players, and that too for the "home" series, the captain Graeme Cremer says, "it is because we are trying to get some younger guys involved in the set up, keep around them in the dressing room so they can learn".
Interestingly, the captain himself is not a part of the selection committee.
"I am just a consultant", he said.
"I do feel as a player it's hard (to be the part of the selection committee), and it's hard to make certain calls, but I feel a consultant is good enough, if they take my recommendations strongly", he added.
And yes, the captain's suggestions were not ignored.
"Not really, it was the squad we had in mind already".
"There is no domestic cricket going on here at the moment. So we have a lot of players helping out the guys that will actually be playing", he further added.
It has been the Board's decision to name only Tatenda Taibu as a sole selector.
Taibu, in consultations with acting coach Makhaya Ntini and batting coach Lance Klusener, has been taking final calls from England, where he is based at now.
"We want to see the ones (players) willing to get on the bus to the construction place to build Zimbabwe cricket", he, talking exclusively, explained about the selection policy.
The T20 squad : Graeme Cremer (capt), Sikandar Raza, Brian Chari, Tendai Chatara, Chamu Chibhabha, Elton Chigumbura, Neville Madziva, Timycen Maruma, Hamilton Masakadza, Wellington Masakadza, Peter Moor, Tapiwa Mufudza, Tinotenda Mutombodzi, Richmond Mutumbami (wk), Taurai Muzarabani, Vusi Sibanda, Donald Tiripano, Malcolm Waller
