Bacup is delighted to announce the re-signing of their Indian professional Chirag Khurana.

 

The club has taken the unprecedented step of agreeing a four year deal with the popular all rounder.

 

In 13 league matches this season Chiggy has already taken a staggering 55 wickets at 9.16 and currently has almost 500 runs.

 

Last season he was the top all rounder in Division Two with 953 runs and 64 wickets.

 

Bacup chairman Neal Wilkinson said: "Chiggy is the ideal League professional who impresses wherever he plays and has many admirers.

 

"He is very happy to commit to our club to play a major role in the development of cricket at Lanehead for several years to come.

 

"Being a UK citizen now, and a Bacup resident, it made sense to us to tie him down for the foreseeable future.

 

Chiggy commented: "I am delighted that Bacup CC, the committee, captain and players have placed their faith in me for the next four years.

 

"I will endeavour to use my 14 years of first class cricket experience to develop the youngsters and take the club to the next level where they aspire to be."
