Legendary Australian fast bowler Dennis Lillee is set to appear at the Dunkenhalgh Hotel in Clayton-Le-Moors at a Sportsmans’ Dinner on Friday 5th August.
A much sought after speaker, Lillee is one of the all time greats of the game, having taken 355 Test wickets in a career that spanned 1971-1984.
After making his Test debut in the 1970-71 Ashes Series Down Under, Lillee came to Haslingden as professional in 1971, taking 68 wickets at 16.8.
Tickets for the event, which is in aid of Gary Yates’ Benefit, are priced at £30.
