England's opener Marcus Trescothick said Friday he had decided not to leave the tour of Pakistan and return home after a serious accident in his family.

He was commenting on media reports that he might leave ahead of the second Test after his father-in-law was hurt in an accident at the weekend.
"Trescothick has advised the England team management that he will remain with the squad and be available for the second Test," a statement from the England team management said.
"The past few days have been very traumatic for my family and I am naturally extremely concerned for my father-in-law whose condition is stable at present," it quoted the team's vice-captain as saying.
"Having discussed the situation both with my families and the England captain and coach, I have decided that I will remain with the squad and continue with my preparations for the second Test," he said.
Trescothick was stand-in captain in the first Test in Multan, which England lost narrowly to Pakistan. He scored 193 runs in the first innings.
The second Test starts in Faisalabad on Sunday and regular captain Michael Vaughan, who missed the first Test because of injury, has said he is hopeful he will be fit enough to take the field.(Article: Copyright © 2005 AFP)
