Mike O`Shea is a promising young batsman who made his first-class debut for Glamorgan against Bangladesh A at Abergavenny in 2005 at the age of 17 years and 325 days.
 
In all, he is the 18th youngest player to have appeared for the Welsh county, and only seven specialist batsmen have played at a younger age (Alan Lewis Jones, Mike Llewellyn, John Hopkins, Tony Lewis, David Gwynne, Alan Rees and Cyril Walters). 
After hitting four centuries in Second Eleven and Minor County cricket, Mike also made his Championship debut for Glamorgan in 2005, and in 2005/06 he played for England Under 19 against Bangladesh.
