Indian all rounder Sanjay Bangar will be Rawtenstall's professional for the 2007 season.

 

The medium pacer, who was India Cricketer of the Year in 2002 when he played two of his 12 Test matches in England, opening both the batting and bowling.

 

The 34 year-old Railways right handed batsman should prove to be a highly useful signing for Rawtenstall.

 

Bangar has 5956 First-class runs at 33.8 with a best of 212 and 168 wickets at 37.7 since making his debut in 1993-4.
