One of several young players who have come up through the A ranks Hasan has had a very good record at this level and in under-19 cricket. An all rounder with a bright future Hasan is an accurate and incisive left arm spinner and a late order left handed batsman. He first earned his spurs with a splendid all round show in the Under-19 tri series tournament in Bangladesh earlier this year. First he took three for 39 in the Sri Lankan innings and then scored 100 to guide his team to victory. Making his ODI debut against Zimbabwe this year he has played only four matches but has already displayed his all round potential.
