Pakistan Seniors won the first match of a 3-match one-day international series against the Indian Seniors by 4 wickets at Udaipur.

 

Abdul Qadir, captaining the Pakistan Seniors won the toss and elected to field.

 

Robin Singh smashed 44 off 57 Balls while Manoj Prabharkar hit 35 off 37 balls and David Johnson, 37 off 24 balls.

 

Abdul Qadir was Pakistan's most successful bowler claiming 3 for 33 with Ghaffar Kazmi taking 3 for 39 and Arshad Khan picking up 2 for 36 runs.

 

Pakistan Seniors set-off chasing a target of 220 and got home comfortably losing six wickets. Mansoor Akhtar hit 62 off 73, Ghulam Ali 41 off 47, Shoaib Mohammad 39 off 47 and Aamer Akbar 47 from 48 balls.

 

Narendara Hirwani took 2 wickets for 32 runs, Rajesh Chauhan took 2 for 32 runs and Manoj Prabharkar 1 wicket for 58 runs for the Indian Seniors.

 

The next match will be played at Calicut on 26 February 2007.
