On a very warm day at Acre Bottom, we lost the toss on a good batting strip and got to work on the East Lancs batting line up.

 

The returning Rizwan Shahid bowled tightly along with Andy Dalby as we picked away at the strong East Lancs battting order. Ross Brown again bowled excellently as he started to get himself amongst the wickets. Dale Gabriel and Matty Lees got some overs under their belt as we had East Lancs 79 for 9 before their final pair batted sensibly at got there total up to 125. We bowled a lot better and the fielding improved from the previous game. We set about the target, Sam Price out early closely followed by Chris Wood. Richard Rothwell continued his early season form hitting the ball sweetly and keeping the score pushing along whilst Rob Read attacked the bowling with some aggressive shots. Both then lost their wickets before Ross and Dale then saw us home with some tidy batting.
