Big-hitting Australian batsman David Warner on Wednesday signed to play for Durham in the Twenty20 Cup, the English county announced.
 
The 22-year-old was the first Australian player to debut for his country without any first class experience since 1877 and he marked the occasion in style with a 43-ball 89 against South Africa in a Twenty20 match in January. Warner already has an average of 64.6 after playing in just eight one day games for New South Wales. 
Once the Twenty20 Cup has finished, West Indies star Shivnarine Chanderpaul will fill the Durham overseas slot.LATEST SCORES
