Rohan Raje, a medium-pacer, broke into Mumbai's side for the domestic Twenty20 tournament in 2007. He failed to make a mark there but was more consistent in local tournaments, which helped him make his List A debut in the 2007-08 season, before he was signed by the Mumbai Indians for the IPL. His slower delivery even caught the attention of Sachin Tendulkar in the nets.
