Biography:Ordained 1899, holding positions in the Army chaplaincy and at Leyton, Tidworth, Bethnal Green, Bermondsey, Lewisham, and City of London. Appointed canon. Chaplain to the royal household 1939-52. In 1927 he was the UK's first radio commentator on cricket. He died while on holiday.
