Teams are listed by social status: nobility, gentry, then 'other ranks'. Lewis in the Surrey side is assumed to be M Lewis, whom a report in the Hampshire Chronicle includes in the Surrey team for a match against Hambledon Town in August, with 'Lewis, Esq' down to play for Hambledon (thus contradicting SB, which gives the Lewises the other way round).
RM also gives each player's means of dismissal (bowled, caught, run out) for this match, but not by whom the dismissal was effected.
