Match notes
In bowling his second over MJ Warden slipped in his delivery stride and injured his knee. He came off the field and the over was completed by KG Scherer. On the second day Queensland lost their ninth wicket still eleven runs in arrears. Warden batted and stayed with Scherer until the lead was obtained at which point the innings was closed in an attempt to capture quick wickets to increase the points total.
