Match notes
Morning showers delayed the commencement of the second day until eleven o'clock. Play ceased at the normal time of 5.30 p.m. with only ninety-four overs having been bowled. As the other games continued until the one hundred overs had been bowled Queensland lodged a protest as bonus points were involved. The result was that no bonus points would be allowed for play after 5.30 p.m. though the figures would remain for statistical purposes.
