Play commenced at 11.00 a.m. on each of the three days and concluded at 5.31 p.m.; 5.32 p.m.; and 5.30 p.m. respectively.
Wood facing the medium pace of Ogilvie, was hit just above the right eye when a ball flew off the edge of the bat, went to the doctor and had three stitches inserted.
On the second day Hourn, who had been struck severely on the knee while batting hobbled to bowl but managed to return one of the best bowling performances in the competition.
NA James became the second Queensland bowler to capture ten wickets in a match.
After selection GK Whyte and JH Ryan replaced PW Donaldson (strained side) and J Baldwin (exams) in the Queensland Colts team. For New South Wales Colts DF Falkenmire replaced SJ Rixon (exams).
