A dispute arose when at Peninsular Cricket Club, on 19 for 3 wickets, wanted to take on another player (H.Warburton) who had arrived late. The Lambton side reused to co-operate and when the score had reached 40 they left the field and the Peninsular Cricket Club were given the match by the umpires.
