The match began at 1:20pm about an hour after the completion of the Union Club v Union Star match.
Turner, Barrett and perhaps others shared the wicket-keeping duties for Union Club.
J Turner scored 78* on the first day, in a five-hour innings. He was finally bowled by a good length ball from Fulder that rose, touched his side, and fell onto the stumps. New York newspapers apparently described him as a second eleven man!
