Foster became the first batsman from either side to score two centuries in the same match in this series. His 102* included 15 fours and his 136, made in 105 minutes, 24 fours.This was only the second time a score of over 500 had been made in the fourth innings. Brown hit 1 five and 29 fours in his innings of 163 which lasted 285 minutes. Over 10,000 spectators were present on the first day
