Notes
--> S Weerapuna made his last appearance in First-Class matches
--> MIZ Hamid made his last appearance in First-Class matches
--> GLS de Silva made his last appearance in First-Class matches
--> MRD Hameen (1) passed his previous highest score of 53 in First-Class matches
--> D Ranatunga (2) passed 2000 runs in First-Class matches when he reached 11
--> MB Halangoda reached 150 wickets in First-Class matches when he dismissed H Wimalasekera, his 1st wicket in the Moors Sports Club first innings
The match was conceded by Moors Sports Club at lunch on the third day (Sinhalese Sports Club already had sufficient points to qualify for the final)
The match was originally scheduled for January 29, 30, 31 at Moors Ground, but that match was abandoned as the pitch was unfit. The Sinahlese S.C. had anyway wanted the match postponed because of international duty (Sri Lanka Under-24s tour of South Africa and Sri Lanka in Sharjah) but were refused. Moors Sports Club originally refused to replay the match. The Tournament Committee told the Sinhalese Sports Club not to pick any international players in the replay as they were not available for the original dates, but they refused. The Cricket Committee then overruled the Tournament Committee
