Durham won by 313 runs after lunch on the second day. For the winners, Turnbull and Morris bowled unchanged through both of the visitors' innings. Morris took 14 wickets in the match for 54 runs, including 8 for 28 in the second Lancashire 2nd XI innings, and Turnbull 6 for 36. Morris's 14 wickets was statistically the second best match bowling performance of the season. There were 10 fours in Heavisides's 84 and 1 six and 9 fours in Adamson's 73.
