This was the inaugural Championship match at the new County Ground at Worcester. Worcestershire won at 3.30 pm on the second day by an innings and 24 runs, after Berkshire followed on 166 runs behind. For Worcestershire, Arnold top-scored with 53, whilst Christopherson's 52 for Berkshire contained 5 fours. In the Berkshire second innings, Morres and Christopherson added 79 run for the seventh wicket.
